CareerForce is renewing efforts to engage in outreach at community events throughout Minnesota. The goal is to reach people who need our services most out in the community – at places they already are.

One of these events was at the Urban League Family Day in Minneapolis earlier this month. CareerForce Job Service Supervisor Leona Martin and her daughter Dianna Martin were there to share information about free job search assistance available to all Minnesotans.

“Many people were happy to hear that CareerForce location at 800 West Broadway was open to the public with and without appointments,” said Leona. “And we also heard from people who were helped in the past by CareerForce.”

Leona said the Urban League event was a great opportunity to reconnect with local community organizations and employers to help serve customers.

This Thursday, September 22, 2022, CareerForce is one of the hosts for the Spotlight on Broadway Community Open House at 800 West Broadway Avenue in Minneapolis from 1-4pm. The event features a KMOJ live broadcast, free groceries, complimentary light refreshments, building tours, wellness checks by NorthPoint Health and Wellness Center, resume reviews with CareerForce and registration with Minneapolis Adult Ed.
