Now is a great time to prepare for and get hired as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Because of very high demand for CNAs, the state of Minnesota set a goal to recruit and train 1,000 nursing assistants. Start your training today and the State will cover the cost of tuition, fees and school materials for those finish training and become a CNA.

  • Free CNA training is open to all Minnesotans who are 16 or older and able to work in the United States.
  • Each program/college may have their own enrollment requirements.
  • Some training providers may require background checks.
  • All employers will require background checks.
  • Employers will require CNAs are up-to-date on their vaccinations, including the COVID-19 vaccination.

Once you are certified, you are encouraged to apply for a position at a long-term care facility or veteran home in your area.

More than 500 Minnesotans have already answered the call and enrolled in CNA training through this initiative. Won’t you join them?
