Under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), CareerForce is required to report specific performance metrics on services provided using federal dollars to assist career seekers or employers. These measures include:
- Employment rates
- Credential attainment
- Measurable skills gains
- Effectiveness in serving employers

CareerForce also tracks progress toward achieving our shared vision of workforce development under WIOA. The Minnesota WIOA State Plan Dashboard provides transparency and accountability toward the two goals of WIOA:
- Reduce educational, skills training and employment disparities based on race, disability, disconnected youth or gender
- Build employer-led industry sector partnerships that expand the talent pipeline to be inclusive of gender, race and disability to meet industry demands for a skilled workforce
Finally, performance reporting is also required for CareerForce partners that receive state workforce development funding and serve adults. These outcomes are available on the Uniform Report Card by various customer groupings. This interactive tool allows us to compare outcomes by education level, gender, geography and race. It also helps us identify if we’re successful in achieving equity goals.
