- Academics: Earn your GED or High School Diploma by increasing your academic skills through 1:1 tutoring, group lessons, contextualized learning, and online education platforms
- Leadership: Explore career interests and personal values, set and achieve goals, and learn the job skills needed to build a better future
- Construction: Learn hand and power tool use, framing, drywall, siding, roofing and deconstruction while earning credentials and certificates including OSHA 10, MNDOT Flagger, NCCER YRGE and NCCER Core
- Community involvement: Apply the skills you learn to help build affordable housing and volunteer in your community
- Stipend and bonus checks paid weekly once enrolled
- Assistance with work clothes, tools, transportation, driver's education and more
- Receive support in reaching your goals every step of the way

YouthBuild is a national organization which works to unleash the intelligence and positive energy of youth to rebuild their communities and their lives. There are 260 YouthBuild programs in the U.S. that have participated in building 17,000 units of affordable housing.

Program Costs
Training available at NO COST to eligible students
Eligibility requirements:
- Age 16 - 24
- *Not currently enrolled in school and interested in working towards your high school diploma or GED
- Interested in all components of training
- Requires one additional barrier such as: English language learner & low income, experience with the criminal justice system as a youth or adult, experiencing homelessness, current foster youth or youth who aged out of foster care, pregnant or parenting youth, a diagnosed disability, school dropout, or basic skills deficient.
