This program will be used to implement high quality training to prepare participants for careers in Manufacturing (Hand Soldering) . This provide will provide pathways into careers that are in high demand, with a projection for 10 years growth.
8 weeks training:
Info session : May 4,11,18 from 10am -12pm.
ABE Prep class : July 11- July 15th from 9am-1pm.
Century College Class : July 18- September 2nd from 9am-1pm (Monday to Friday).
ABE follow up sessions: every Thursdays from 9am – 1pm. .
*All trainings are in person and will take place at both CAPI locations:
IOC: 5930 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Center.
South: 3702 E. Lake Street Minneapolis, MN.
How to Participate
Eligibility : 18 years or older, Fall at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines. At or above 5th grade math and reading skills. Available to attend all training dates. Legally authorized to work in the US.
Outcomes
IP-A- 610 Rev H and IPC- J -STD-001 REV H (120 hours ). Participants will exit to employment or a post-secondary education. Production workers, welders, cutters, brazers, etc.
