Health care employs nearly 400,000 people in Minnesota and there is projected long-term demand for health care workers. Currently, there is extremely high demand for many types of health care workers – from entry level to highly specialized. Make a difference in the lives of others.
Train for a career working in a warehouse. In just three weeks, you will learn the equipment and skills needed for these in-demand, essential jobs. In-person classes run every month.
Certification-based classroom and hands-on training is provided in:
- OSHA-10 safety
- Bobcat skid steer loader
- Compact Excavator
- Tool Cat utility vehicle
- Forklift
- Scissor Lift
- Boom Lift
To participate, you must have a social security card and government-issued identification.

When you successfully complete the class, you will have credentials to operate all the machinery, as well as certification from Takoda Institute.
There is no financial cost for individuals eligible for our various grant programs. These eligibility factors include: military service, race, gender, disabilities, long-term unemployment, recent incarceration, public assistance, age of 55 or older and income below 200% of Federal Poverty Guideline.
Our Takoda Institute team members will work with participants to determine eligibility.
