Leading CareerForce Partner Career Solutions partnered with Minnesota State Community and Technical College to provide a 48-hour welding training for two cohorts of Spanish-speaking entry level workers at Felling Trailers at their Litchfield and Sauk Centre locations. This training, which was supported by a Pathways to Prosperity training grant through the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), took place in the winter and spring of 2023 and a total of 23 workers earned their welding certificates.
The training met the credentialing needs of the manufacturing employer, provided increased income opportunities for the employees as well as increased long-term career growth and future opportunities for these workers. Read the full story on the Career Solutions website.
