The Community Engagement Committee seeks opportunities for strengthening partnerships through engagement between the industry and targeted communities. The committee will focus on increasing knowledge of career opportunities in the industry to parents and community leaders, by building trust between the community and the industry through changing the perception of manufacturing as a non-accessible industry and recommending tips and best practices for employers looking to strengthen community engagement.
Current committee focus:
- Utilization of CareerForce locations and local organizations serving BIPOC residents
- Invite local organizations and partners servicing BIPOC residents to company locations
- Create initiative webpage of CareerForceMN.com platform to promote initiative
