Initiative's beginnings

DiMi started as an idea by DEED’s Metro Area Workforce Strategy Consultant. During its development stage, DEED Workforce Strategy Consultants presented the idea to DEED leadership and employer champions in the industry.  Employer recruiting was done through one-on-one meetings with employers and industry associations. DiMi’s official kick-off was held on June 9, 2022, with only employers and associations. It was the intent to start with employers and associations to have uninterrupted discussions of the future of workforce recruiting and what employers are looking for from stakeholders. Partners will be invited to join as the initiative moves forward.
