This website is provided as a public service and CareerForceMN.com staff have the right to edit or remove employer and partner content that does not adhere to the terms of use.

PROFILE PAGES

After registering an account, employers and partners can create profile pages on the website.

Partner profiles should include a description of the career and employment services your organization provides, as well as information about what demographic group(s) and geographic region(s) you serve. You may also create “service cards” that describe specifics about each program, service or solution you offer. Don’t include programs or services that are not related to employment or workforce development. Such programs or services will be removed at the sole discretion of CareerForceMN.com staff.

Employer profiles should include a description of what your organization does; what makes it a desirable place to work; and what types of workers you’re seeking (without listing specific job openings). You have the option of including a link to your organization’s website as well as an embedded link to your website’s job section, an email address and other contact information.

All profile page content needs to be:

  • Short. There is a 300 word limit for organization descriptions.
  • Clear and factual. Your profile should be factual and straightforward. Your profile cannot describe your position versus your competitors in the marketplace. Marketing superlatives are not allowed. Also avoid industry jargon that is unlikely to be understandable to people who are unfamiliar with the work you do or the services you offer.
  • Free of any implied endorsement. Nothing in your profile or other content you post on CareerForceMN.com or posted on another website linking to CareerForceMN.com may imply endorsement or recommendation by CareerForceMN.com or by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development or the State of Minnesota.

CONTENT REVIEW / PUBLISHING PROCESS

All content submitted by partners and employers will be reviewed by CareerForceMN.com staff before being published on the website. We will reach out to you if we have questions or concerns. CareerForceMN.com, at its sole discretion, may edit or refuse to post a profile if the content does not comply with these terms. Each employer and partner organization is responsible to regularly reviewing and updating profile page content. Updates go through the same review process with CareerForceMN.com staff.

CAREERFORCE CONNECTIONS

CareerForceMN.com allows career seekers and employers to initiate “CareerForce Connections” with CareerForce staff and partners. In addition, CareerForce staff and partners can receive and track these connections.

Be mindful of sharing any private information about career seekers or other clients. When responding to inquiries or requests for information or assistance, you should follow your organization’s customer services protocols and guidelines.

ADDITIONAL TERMS OF USE

CareerForceMN.com displays information on job openings from Minnesota’s labor exchange, MinnesotaWorks.net.

Federal Law prohibits the use of these services for the purpose of replacing workers in a labor dispute and for soliciting business opportunities (including independent contractors paid with 1099s). Also, employers using these services agree not to:

  • Charge a fee for applying
  • Post a job or use this service when there is no current opening in Minnesota
  • Sell or re-post job seeker data and resumes found on this site. Such sale or re-posting violates the individual's ability to control how his/her data or resume is distributed. This includes searching the resume database from this site for referral to an employer with whom no contractual agreement is in place for the purpose of collecting a hiring fee
  • Discriminate in the hiring process.

Under Title VII Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the MN Human Rights Act, (MNHA), and the Age Discrimination Employment Act (ADEA), it is illegal to discriminate in any aspect of employment because of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, membership or activity in a local human rights commission, disability, sexual orientation, or age.

This includes: hiring and firing; compensation; assignment or classification of employees; transfer, promotion, layoff, or recall; job retirement plans, and disability leave; or other terms and conditions of employment.

Discriminatory practices under these laws also include:

  • Harassment based on an individual's protected class status or retaliation against an individual for filing a charge of discrimination, participating in an investigation, or opposing discrimination practices.

AND

  • Denying employment opportunities to a person because of marriage to, or association with, an individual who is a member of one or more of the aforementioned protected classes. CareerForce.com reserves the right to discontinue access to an employer violating any of these policies. Wagner-Peyser Act of 1998 and Title 20 CFR Chapter 5, part 652.
