NorthStar Digital Modules/Testing/Registration (The testing is on June 26 & 27th from 12:00 -4:00)
20 hours of classroom instruction in Safety, Blueprint, Reading, Precision Measuring and Guaging.
40 hours of Basic CNC setup, operation and troubleshooting. Downloading and running programs, loading tools and monitoring speed. Operating CNC machine tools for success. The class room instruction is Monday-Thursday, July 10-20th from 8 am-4:30 pm
OSHA 10 for General Industry and Essential Soft Skills for Employment (16 hours + one college credit
The eligibility criteria are:
Cannot be enrolled in High School
Must be 18 years of age
Individual of color/Hispanic
Individual with a criminal record
Individual without a high school diploma or equivalent
Individual with disabilities
Individual who has been unemployed for 26 weeks or more out of the past 52 weeks or
Individual at or below the 200 Percent of Federal Poverty Guidelines
The prerequisite is to complete the NorthStar Digital and CASAS testing for a basic skills level in Reading and Math.
A certificate of completion for NorthStar Digital Learning Modules.
A certificate of completion for 60 hours of Accelerated CNC training.
A certificate of completion for OSHA 10 for General Industry and Essential Soft Skills.
This program is free if you meet the eligibility requirements. Please call to see if you are eligible for grant funding that would cover the whole cost.
