May is Tech Month with CareerForce logo and workforce imagery

CareerForce is putting the spotlight on Information Technology careers throughout the month of May.

Leading CareerForce partner Ramsey County Workforce Solutions has a slate of events and resources lined up to mark the month. Last week, the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners proclaimed May as Tech Month in Ramsey County. Councilmember Chris Tolbert, Jeff Tollefson from MnTech, Scott Burns from Structural and members of the Ramsey County Workforce Innovation Board's Tech Committee were there for the proclamation ceremony. Ramsey County Workforce Solutions Director Ling Becker remarked that "their leadership is instrumental to ensuring that Ramsey County is a community of innovation."

Among the events Ramsey County is planning is the Tech4All: Big Ideas, Virtual Reality and Community! event this Thursday, May 11 from 2–6 p.m. at Johnson High School at 1349 Arcade Street in St. Paul. Career explorers and job seekers are invited to learn about high-demand tech and trades careers in a fun environment featuring virtual reality, drones, video games and more.
