Sharon thought of herself as too old to find new job. She was very worried about interviewing, so CareerForce worked with her on that skill. Sharon loves to make puppets and her smile came out when she spoke about puppet making. Her CareerForce specialist told her to think about her puppets during the interview when things got scary. She prevailed!
In addition, she was able to use the On the Job Training Subsidy to learn new skills and competitive wage in a job closer to home.
“Thank you for all your help and the OJT program that helped my new employer out too! I'm glad they are happy with my work as I am very happy working for them as well," said Sharon. "I have learned a lot about this new field of hazardous waste clean up and all it's regulations and have a lot more to learn.”
