Create an Account

  1. I am having login/password issues.
    You can recall your username or reset your password on the platform, just visit the login page or contact the CareerForce helpdesk at 651-259-7501 or CareerForce@state.mn.us.
     
  2. How do I change my username?
    Login to your account and select the “Edit” link (upper left hand corner) on the dashboard page. You can change or update your name, email address, username and password at any time.
     
  3. How do I delete my account?
    Contact the CareerForce helpdesk at 651-259-7501 or CareerForce@state.mn.us.
     
  4. Can we use our username and password from MinnesotaWorks.net?
    It’s never recommended that you use the same username and password for multiple accounts. We encourage you to follow good computer and Internet security practices. 
     
  5. Do I need an account?
    There are lots of resources to explore on the platform that do not require an account. If you create a CareerForceMN.com account, you’ll be able to like and save content to your dashboard, make a “CareerForce Connection” with a location or partner, and access custom labor market resources on your user dashboard. A CareerForceMN.com account is not needed to register for workshops.
     

Workshops

  1. I want to register for an account so I can sign up for a workshop. 
    You do not need a CareerForceMN.com account to sign up for a workshop. Each workshop will have a register link that will take you to www.MinnesotaWorks.net to complete your registration. 
     
  2. How do I cancel my workshop registration? 
    Please email or call the CareerForce location hosting the workshop to cancel your registration.
     
  3. Why aren’t more workshops showing in my results? 
    There are many ways to search for workshops on CareerForceMN.com. You can search “Upcoming Events” by location on the main page of the site. Top 15 workshops will display in a rotating carousel. You can click “View more events” to continue searching work workshop offerings, including by date. Find your CareerForce location to view the full listing of workshops offered at that location.
     
  4. How do I post a workshop on your site?
    CareerForceMN.com currently only displays workshops that are created by CareerForce staff and partners on www.MinnesotaWorks.net. Look for expanded event functionality on CareerForceMN.com in mid-2019.

    CareerForceMN.com is not a labor exchange, so please visit Minnesota’s official job matching resource www.MinnesotaWorks.net to post a job.

    Of course! You can visit Minnesota’s official job matching resource www.MinnesotaWorks.net to post a job, search for and contact a CareerForce location, or connect with our regional CareerForce team for help.

Searching for Jobs

  1. How do I search for jobs on CareerForceMN.com?
    You will find “Career Search” blocks on many places on the platform, including on the front page. Here you can enter a job title, keyword term, business name and location to get a list of job openings.

  2. Can I still search for jobs on MinnesotaWorks.net?
    Yes, www.MinnesotaWorks.net remains Minnesota’s official job matching resource. You can still visit that site and search for jobs on that site.

Recommended Internet Browsers

  1. Does the platform have a recommended internet browser?
    We recommend the newest versions of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge. Users of assistive technologies should use a browser that is compatible with both CareerForceMN.com and their assistive technology. Please refer to any browser recommendations or guidelines offered by your assistive technology.

  2. What if I only have Internet Explorer? How do I get another browser installed?
    To keep up with new web technology development and to provide CareerForceMN.com users with a safe and secure platform experience, we did not develop the platform to be used in Internet Explorer. The platform is still available to you in Internet Explorer but your experience will be limited. You may wish to download and install one of the recommended browsers. Please contact your organization’s IT help desk for support.
