Create an Account

  1. How do I create an account?
    You just need to go to Sign Up in the very top navigation bar and follow the steps. Creating an account takes just a couple minutes. See a tip sheet. Or watch a how-to video.
  2. I am having login/password issues.
    You can recall your username or reset your password on the platform, just visit the login page or contact the CareerForce helpdesk at 651-259-7500 or
  3. How do I change my username?
    Login to your account and select the “Edit” link (upper left hand corner) on the dashboard page. You can change or update your name, email address, username and password at any time.

    It’s never recommended that you use the same username and password for multiple accounts. We encourage you to follow good computer and Internet security practices. 
  6. Do I need an account?
    There are lots of resources to explore on the platform that do not require an account. If you create a account, you’ll be able to like and save content to your dashboard, make a “CareerForce Connection” with a location or partner, and access custom labor market resources on your user dashboard. A account is not needed to register for workshops.
  7. What’s on the career seeker dashboard?
    You’ll be able to see content you’ve favorited, organizations on you’ve favorited, your CareerForce Connections, plus have access to your My Goals & Experience tab. See a tip sheet. Watch a how-to video.
  8. What’s on the My Goals & Experience tab of the career seeker dashboard?
    This is where you can take an interest or skills assessment and find out which occupations are good matches for you, find occupations based on your previous employment, see in-demand career options and set your career goals. Current and former members of the military can see how their military experience translates to civilian occupations. See a tip sheet. Watch a how-to video.
  9. What's on the employer dashboard?
    Only those with employer or staff and partner accounts are able to see what's on the employer dashboard. You’ll be able to see content you’ve favorited, plus have access to My Labor Market tab.
  10. What's on the My Labor Market tab of the employer dashboard?
    This is where you can see up-to-date statewide and regional labor force, unemployment and industry trends information. See a  tip sheet. Watch a how-to video.

Searching for Jobs

  1. How do I search for jobs on
    You will find “Job Search” blocks on many places on the platform, including on the front page. Here you can enter a job title, keyword term, business name and location to get a list of job openings. See a tip sheet. Watch a how-to video.
  2. Can I still search for jobs on
    Yes, remains Minnesota’s official job matching resource. You can still visit that site and search for jobs on that site.


  1. How do I search for workshops or other events?
    Scroll down on the main page of to the Upcoming Events section or directly to the Events page and search by event type, location or date range. See a tip sheet. Watch a how-to video.
  2. Do I need to register for an account so I can sign up for a workshop. 
    You do not need a account to sign up for a workshop. Each workshop will have a register link that will take you to to complete your registration. 
  3. How do I cancel my workshop registration? 
    You can log into your account and select "View and Cancel Events" on the Seeker Home Page. Your "Current Registered Events" will display. Select "Cancel" in the "Action" column to cancel your upcoming event. You will receive a message asking “Are you sure you want to cancel this Event?” Select “OK” to remove the Event from your "Current Registered Events" and you will no longer be registered for it. If you need further assistance, please email or call the CareerForce location hosting the workshop to cancel your registration.
  4. Why aren’t more workshops showing in my results? 
    There are many ways to search for workshops on You can search “Upcoming Events” by location on the main page of the site. Top 15 workshops will display in a rotating carousel. You can click “View more events” to continue searching work workshop offerings, including by date. Find your CareerForce location to view the full listing of workshops offered at that location.
  5. How do I post a workshop on your site? currently only displays workshops that are created by CareerForce staff and partners on Look for expanded event functionality on in 2019.

Finding locations and proud partners

  1. How do I find a CareerForce location? 
    Go to the Find a Location link in the very top navigation bar of and search by preferred mile radius from the Minnesota community of your choice. See a tip sheet. Watch a how-to video
  2. How do I find a CareerForce Partner?
    From the home page, scroll down to the bottom of the page (the footer) and click “Meet Our Partners.” On the page that link sends you to, enter a service type or organization name in the “Keyword” field. If you don't know the service type or organization's name, just leave the "Keyword" field blank. In the “From” field, enter a city or zip code. From the suggested matches, click the desired city or zip code. Click the “Less Than” drop-down menu to select the search radius. Click “Apply.” You will the see your partner search results.   1. How do I post a job on your site? is not a labor exchange, so please visit Minnesota’s official job matching resource to post a job.

    Of course! You can visit Minnesota’s official job matching resource to post a job, search for and contact a CareerForce location, or connect with our regional CareerForce team for help.

  1. Does the platform have a recommended internet browser?
    We recommend the newest versions of Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Mozilla Firefox. Users of assistive technologies should use a browser that is compatible with both and their assistive technology. Please refer to any browser recommendations or guidelines offered by your assistive technology.

  2. What if I only have Internet Explorer? How do I get another browser installed?
    To keep up with new web technology development and to provide users with a safe and secure platform experience, we did not develop the platform to be used in Internet Explorer. The platform is still available to you in Internet Explorer but your experience will be limited. You may wish to download and install one of the recommended browsers. Please contact your organization’s IT help desk for support.
