The Recruiting & Onboarding Committee identifies best practices for integrating new hires and returning workers into the industry, from recruiting to orientation. The committee will recommend building blocks for developing career pathway and onboarding opportunities into manufacturing. Other focuses include addressing the 3D (dirty, dark, and dangerous) myth of the industry and biases & microaggressions influencing talent recruitment.
Current committee focus:
- How to better streamline recruiting and interview process (Review Candidate Experience, Routine audits of job descriptions)
- Building partnerships with local schools
- Educating the employer – understanding what candidates are looking for
