Project for Pride in Living in Minneapolis

PPL builds the hope, assets, and self-reliance of individuals and families who have lower incomes by providing transformative affordable housing and employment readiness services.

PPL strives to be an equitable and inclusive organization committed to elevating the voices of the communities we serve who are disproportionately affected by systemic inequities.

Project for Pride in Living (PPL) was founded in 1972 by former priest and social justice advocate Joe Selvaggio to create affordable housing and revitalize central Minneapolis. PPL began by renovating blighted homes. Later, the organization added employment training to prepare jobseekers for entry-level work with major Twin Cities' employers.

14,000 - individuals & families served each year

Over 45 years later, PPL now helps nearly 14,000 individuals and families in the Twin Cities move into affordable housing, earn higher incomes, improve their academic skills, and gain economic independence each year.
