Tips for hiring success

Here are a few great ways to find current or former members of the military on

  1. CareerForce has staff who work with veterans to help them find the right fit. Contact a CareerForce specialist (mailto: and them know you want to hire a veteran.
  2. When you post a position on, the no-fee job bank for employers and career seekers in Minnesota, make sure you label the position as veteran-friendly.  To get started, see instructions for using You will be given the option to select “Veteran Friendly” when you are creating the job posting.
  3. Watch for career fairs on our events calendar that are focused on veterans and make sure your company has a presence there.
