Anoka County Job Training Center
The Anoka County Job Training Center administers services to meet the needs of youth, laid off workers, seniors, and underemployed adults in our community. We are staffed with a team of employment counselors and job search specialists to provide employment programs and services to help our community acquire the skills, training, and experience to achieve economic security.
Adult and Dislocated Worker Program: Vocational Counselors work with interested job seekers who have been laid off to create job search strategies and training plans for new skill development to assist them in returning to the workforce as quickly as possible.
Empowers Young Adult Program: Eligible youth ages 14-24 can receive community paid work experience to gain work maturity and readiness skills to successfully transition to employment, support and services needed to be successful in academics, skill training, workplace skill development, post-secondary training and employment.
Family Sustainability Program: Employment services designed to encourage families to secure employment, increase family income and transition off public assistance. Key services include vocational counseling, skill training, job search workshops, and placement assistance.
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance (SNAP) Employment and Training Program: Provides job search assistance to adults who are eligible for food support benefits, ages 18-50, able to work and with no dependents. The goal is to assist recipients with making a successful transition from public assistance to employment.
Senior Community Service Employment and Legacy Programs: Provides enhanced employment opportunities for economically disadvantaged adults 55 years and older.
Integrated Reentry & Occupational Cohorts (IROC): Training focused on manufacturing for individuals under correctional supervision with Anoka County Community Corrections.
Services for Businesses: Working with people and businesses to improve lives and have a highly skilled workforce that contributes to the success of businesses and in our community.

Anoka County Workforce Development Board: Board provides leadership and direction for local workforce development programs, which are tailored to meet the specific needs of Anoka County communities.
