Good data, smart choices

It’s important to be well-prepared when setting your career goals. Labor market information can help. Think of it as insight into where Minnesotans work, who they work for, what they do and how much they earn.

Labor market information can help answer questions career seekers often have, like:

  • What careers are in high demand?
  • How can I prepare for these careers?
  • What’s the average wage offered for a job I’m interested in?

Minnesota’s Labor Market Information Office collects employment, wage and industry information from throughout the state, then analyzes it to provide information career seekers can use to make decisions and plan for the future. And when you create your CareerForce account, you’ll be linked to local information on the current occupational outlook and wages of careers you’re interested in. Already have an account? You'll find this information on the Skills & Experience tab on your dashboard.
