**PROGRAM BEGINS SEPTEMBER 13TH!
About the program:
- Attend Minneapolis College Courses to prepare you for positions like Patient Care Technician, Health Unit Coordinator, and Remote Observation Technician
- Starting Wage is $18 - $23/hour depending on experience
- Networking and job shadow opportunities at Abbot Northwestern
- Earn certifications in CPR/Basic Life Support, Mental Health/First Aid, and NRF in Customer Service
- Gain experience with the EPIC system

Class details:
- September 13th, 2022 through March 9th, 2023
- Classes are online & in-Person (Hybrid) via Zoom or Google Classroom
- Classes Tuesdays, Thursdays, and some Wednesday evenings 5:30pm - 8:30pm

Qualifications Include:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years of age
- Legal right to work in the U.S.
- At least 12 months of direct patient care experience

HYBRID Online and In-Person Classes from September 13th 2022-March 9th 2023
Tuesdays & Thursdays with some Wednesdays 5:30-8:30PM

How to Participate

The first step for all PPL training programs is to attend a virtual information session. Join via Zoom on your phone or computer every Monday from 10 a.m.–11 a.m. Request an invite by visiting our website: www.ppl-inc.org/career-readiness-programs or emailing CCIntake@PPL-INC.ORG.

Outcomes

This program will prepare you to take your healthcare career to the next level. Attend Minneapolis College courses such as Medical Terminology, Medical Records, Communication in Healthcare, and more that will prepare you to join the workforce in positions of Patient Care Technician or Remote Observation Technician. Earn certifications in CPR/Basic Life Support, Mental Health/First Aide, and National Retail Federation Customer Service. You will also gain experience with the electronic record keeping system called EPIC.

Program Costs

Free - Based on Household Income up to 200% to the poverty-line.
